Labor Day Weekend

I thought it was just recently since I blogged on here, but I feel like wanting to tell you, because my Mom and Dad are leaving to go back East for their 34th wedding anniversary during Labor Day Weekend, while Drama Queen and I are in charge of helping the children while they're gone for a few days. It's going to be quite a challenge, because, it's been a while since either Drama Queen or I have baby sat children while the more mature adults are out for a day or two. That might be part of experiencing Labor Day, other than we like watching the Newsies movie every year. It always teaches us about how people have made a difference in the 19th century of employment.

And speaking of employment, I've been working at Walmart over a year and I'm just enjoying about having the opportunity to have some vacation from it, especially when it comes to falling in love with the Cat Lover. She and I don't have to work on Labor Day, so that gives us a chance to spend a day together. Lots of people in the family think that the Cat Lover and I would be a perfect couple to be together, but we haven't had our first kiss yet, so we're just going to have to wait and see how that goes. I like to explain a little more about it, but that can be saved for next time. Right now, we're just going to stick with what we're going to face for the weekend. I just want to show you some annotated videos I made that might have to do with Labor and to see if these people would either need a vacation or a day off of work or maybe change a different career path. This is another thing I have been learning to become a teacher for elementary students.

Halloween Costumes

I know this may sound strange to talk about at this time, but I just want to be a bit prepared to have suggestions before the upcoming holidays are coming no matter when or what. Do you remember those years when I tried to come up with lots of things of what I wanted to be for Halloween. Well, there had been lots of inspirations that have occurred throughout the years. It all started to happen ever since I served my mission. I never thought about coming up with clever ideas of costumes to wear in my life that remind me of some things.
 
You probably remember the time when I was dressed like a Sleepwalker, because it reminded me of my blog name that could be changed a bit for a day. The way I made it was with a pillow tied behind my head with a small fleece blanket as a cape and I wear my pajamas. Some people thought I was a bed when I tried to tell them that I was just a sleepwalker. It was in 2014 when I was dressed like the sleepwalker.
 
Around 2015, when the new Disney and Pixar movie Inside Out came out, some of us wanted to dress up like the characters from it. I was the only one dressed up like Bing Bong while Teach was dressed like Joy, Baby Doll was dressed like Sadness, and Drama Queen was technically dressed like Disgust. We enjoyed the movie, because we thought we could dress up like funny characters from the most lovable movies.

Last year, of 2016, I started to enjoy the musical called Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, especially watching the Donny Osmond movie. During a service project at an elementary school, my sisters found an old multicolored balloon in a garbage can and decided that we should keep it for use. I convince my mother that we should turn it into the coat of many colors from the musical. She was a bit hesitant about that, but after seeing the movie, she quite agreed and loved it so much.

Now, for this Halloween of this year, I'm working on a different costume that I thought would be clever. I didn't come up with it myself in the first place, but I found out about it from a Studio C skit that they did. I bought these two clocks from Walmart and turned them into the Daylight Saving time zones. In the video they have two people being the Daylight Saving Twins. I thought that was really clever. I figured since Princess and Crafty were alike, I thought that would be good costumes for them, but everyone suggested to me that I should try being it myself. The way I made these clocks wasn't an easy way, but it does work, the clock hands even move around time.

Throughout this process, I'm still trying to figure out more ideas that can be added to this costume idea for Halloween. I just want to ask if any of you have any suggestions that I can use to make it the best costume that I have ever made in my life.I hope that you enjoyed this and hope that things can work out before October. :)

Future Classroom Project

I know it's been a long time since I got to blog here. It's just things have been crazy ever since. I've been at Walmart and I just recently got a girlfriend from all this time I thought I wouldn't have one. But things have been working out ever since. Right now I'm just trying to see if this girlfriend of mine would be my future spouse. And speaking of future, I just wanted to ask a simple question: Have you always like coming up with a clever idea that would work for a future classroom? Well, as you can see, I have a bunch of clocks hung up on my bedroom wall. I bought twelve little clocks and one big clock. Ever since I made the daylight saving clocks, I thought it would be a fun way for a future classroom decoration for young children to see. I thought that the little clocks could be the months and that the big one would be the whole year clock. It took me about a whole week just to complete this entire project, but it was quite fun to come up with this idea for a future classroom as an elementary teacher. However, I just need to find out if that it would be okay to use all these clocks in my classroom someday and use an open circular Frisbee big enough to go around the clock so that the children would know which month it is. If any of you followers are teachers out there who teach elementary teacher, I just want to know if this idea would be okay and if it's ethical to use for a classroom. I worked so hard to make these and I want it to be a fun way for children to learn about the months of the year and to help them know what month it is. I even took individual pictures of each clock for you to see up close. I hope you like the way I made them. :) If you think this idea is okay for a future classroom, then I appreciate it. Then, I might come up with another unique project that can be added to my future classroom. I'm pretty sure that you can already tell what the other project would be for my future classroom.

Famous Mormons

It's been a while since I got to blog. I've just been busy with working at Walmart and attending a semester of college. But I thought I would give you something that might sound interesting. Do you remember the time when I had an anxious life of wanting to be famous and learning from Mom and Dad about the consequences of it? Well, I just wanted to point out that there are famous people who are Mormons and have made a difference in their lives. I won't explain all of the details of them, but I could just tell you one unique thing about their fame. 

This is David Archuleta. He's best known as a famous singer for bringing spiritual moments to everybody in our world. He even sung Glorious for the Meet the Mormons documentary.

 

This is Alex Boyé. He's been known for singing a lot of songs, just like David Archuletta, but more likely singing a lot of African chants.

This is Donny Osmond. He's been known as a handsome singer as well as for playing the modern role, Joseph from the musical Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

This is Gladys Knight.She's a former Baptist, but joined the church after teasing Gordon B. Hinkley about adding pop to the Church music.She's better known as the Empress of Soul.

This is Jon Heder. He's better known as the main character of the same name of the film Napoleon Dynamite.

This is Lindsey Stirling. She's better known as a dancing violinist. She's been an inspiration to all the world that anybody can show off their different talent, just like her.

This is Paul Cardall. He's best known for being a talented and a very-well clever pianist. He's played mostly hymns, but has made other music for LDS movies, like Ephraim's Rescue.

This is Stephenie Meyer. She's best known as the author of the Twilight Saga. A lot of readers have found her chapter books really unique and clever of life being the other perspective.

This is Shawn Bradley. He's best known as the seven foot NBA player. A lot of people consider him being the tallest man in the world.

These are the Piano Guys. They're best known as the band who come up with unique and very jazzy piano sounds to music. They even made a Cameo appearance in the remake movie Saturday's Warrior.

This is Studio C. They are the cast members of the TV show under the same name. They love to come up with funny and clean humor to make everyone laugh and smile.

This is Ken Sansom. He was an actor throughout the children's shows. He was best known for playing the voice of Rabbit in the Winnie the Pooh franchise. He died in 2012 from a stroke, but he has been an inspiration to everyone around him.



So all of this brings to me that I sometimes like to be like these famous Mormons, but not literally gain so much fame like they did, but to be an inspiration to everybody around me, just like them. I hope you enjoyed it and hope you want to learn more about them.

It's a"MAZE"ing to See!

Well, it's about that time of year again. About every year, I always have been the expert to putting up holiday lights on our house. Just like last year, the year before, the year-year before, the year-year-year before, and the year-year-year-year-before. So pretty much every year I've been in charge of setting up the most amazing Halloween display that anybody in my neighborhood or anywhere would come up with for the most spooktacular day of the year. 

Anyway, throughout some of the year, ever since April, I've been employed to work at Walmart temporarily, because Mom and Dad just want me to earn money and learn to work much harder than an average person can do. That got me worried a lot about what the holidays would be like for me if I'm not around the house preparing traditional ideas for the holidays or even having a holiday off of employment. Mom and Dad kept on telling me that I should try to earn enough money for tuition of a college semester. I thought that was a bit brutal to having me to pay for college tuition. Some of the time, I kept on saying to myself and even saying it to Mom and Dad that earning money isn't making me a better person, it's just making me a jerk. They just keep on telling me that it's part of life and I need money to make a living of my own. I'm not quite sure about that, because I thought having money would just make you selfish and only use it for yourself and avoid the poor, needy, homeless, and/or even people who are into trouble of some sort.

So, on the days when I need to go to work, I start to feel worried that I don't want to miss a holiday spending with the family, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. I just don't know if I can really bear having to have to work on special holidays, because they're way too special to be missed spending time with families. I've made some requests to my employer if I can have the holidays off. But I just kept on getting rejections! :( I kept on requesting for the days off again, and right now they're still pendering to see if I can have those days off. I just keep on hoping I'll have the holidays off so I can spend those entire days with the family.

I probably shouldn't get off subject, because you all want to know about the display processing. Every year, I've been making mostly the same design of it, but I just had to keep on coming up with other ideas that would be fun for different. Every year, there are just two entrances to the front door for Trick-or-treaters, but this year, there's only one entrance right in the middle edge of our front yard. There are some added part of the display that you may have not seen before, like some were given to me for my birthday when they were on clearance after Halloween last year. For example, I've been giving the 15-foot tall ghost blow-up and I had to figure out ways on how to get it to stay up and not trip anybody. It might as well be the main part to pay attention to from everyone who either walks or drives by to see it. There are even some parts that I felt like I had to go buy in order for everything in the display to be complete.

 It always happens every year, because some strands of lights that may have been new from the previous year are just broken for the year to come. It really annoys me and I bet it annoys all of you as well. I just always try to go with everything perfect, but it some of it doesn't always go exactly my way. And speaking about that, every year on the 31st of October, I just hope that every trick-or-treater would try to go through the maze before and after coming to the front door for the treats. But some are just walking to the door without even trying the maze. Probably because children are told by their parents that it's not polite to walk on people's lawns. But I just want all the parents if they're reading this post that at this time of year, it's an exception and the children can walk through the corn maze if they want to. I'll just hope that every trick-or-treater will go through the maze before and after getting the treats from us.

Last year, you probably remember that I uploaded my display on KSL so that almost everybody around Utah would be able to come see my display creation and how it can bring the holiday spirit into everybody. I'm not quite sure if KSL is doing it again this year, but it they are, I most definitely will upload the display on KSL so everyone will find it and be aMAZEd on how it looks. Being the Worst Person Ever

Mom has been asking me to write a post at Twelve Makes a Dozen for last hour. I thought that it's her blog she should do things her own way instead of me having to be persistent on giving her more ideas of what should be on the blog. Besides, she told me that she never gets much followers, unless I'm guest blogging for her. She was worried a lot of you might think I disappeared and never wanted to talk on this blog ever again. Well, here I am! I've just been busy a lot, like passing the Math 2020, and it's kind of harder than 1050. You remember those times when I struggled so much with Math. And I've been working at Wal-Mart since April. Being on the Cap Team 2 Crew, it's really hard, because you unload a truck with a lot of loose products and you have to stack them neatly on pallets and carts whenever you're in the backroom of the store.But some recent times, I feel like I'm being criticized by my boss, for every little mistake I've made on the job. At first, my supervisor was always being strict and it felt like I was being the worst Associate at Wal-Mart, it would sometimes make me feel like I want to quit working there and tell my Job Coach to find another job. Something that would help me succeed to my future of being a Special Education Teacher and possibly an author of Children's Books.

Anyway, I did just mention that it feels like I'm being the worst Wal-Mart Associate ever. Not only I make little mistakes on the job, but I'm also complaining in my mind about working on Sundays. According to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we are made a promise that we keep the Sabbath Day holy by not going shopping or laboring on Sundays. Working on Sundays just feels like it's not my thing at all and it makes me feel unworthy. A lot of times, I just feel like I'm breaking a covenant of keeping the Sabbath Day holy and it makes me feel like I'm being the worst person ever I thought I could try to convince my employer that I could take Sundays off, but then he just told me that I have to work every other Sunday, and I thought that meant he wanted me to work every Sunday permanently, unless I quit working at Wal-Mart. But Mom and Dad kept telling me that I should try something new to do. Save enough money to pay tuition for fall semester at UVU. That also worried me, because right now, I've been working full-time and if I'm going to take a semester at UVU after paying tuition, I'm going to have to ask my employer if I can have part-time.

I guess, you get the idea already. A lot of times, whenever I make mistakes either if their little or big, I sometimes feel like I'm the worst person ever. For example, when some of my family and I went to Tuachan to see Tarzan, we were playing in the hotel swimming pool and I bought a water-proof music speaker that has an adapter for an electronic device. It was working at first, but then some water leaked into the case and it washed up my iPod Touch and it was gone forever. A lot of times, it makes me feel like I'm still being the worst person ever, but people around me have been telling me that nobody's perfect on their lifestyle. Even Mom and Dad (and possibly Sport) have been telling me that life is a test and we're supposed to face consequences and live life to the edge

Even when working at Wal-Mart, I'm sometimes feeling pressured by the fellow associates around me and even my supervisor, whom I found being a PRESSURING SPEED DEMON!! I never meant to be offensive, but so much times at Wal-Mart, my supervisor kept on telling us that we should be quick on the job and sweat so much and be careful at the same time. 

I know in the future I'm going to get encouraging comments from all of you that we all face difficulties and harsh responses from people, because that's part of facing opposition. Even if we're being made fun of and or we make our own mistakes, we still have to learn the consequences and live up to them, like working on Sundays, even if I don't like to do that. Anyway, since I've been telling you what it's like to be the worst person ever, I wanted to show you something. You may have remembered last Christmas, I uploaded so many sketches of Studio C on there with their clean humor. Anyway, I thought I would show these videos of what it's really like to be the worst person ever on these types of college-degreeable jobs.They're really funny, you might laugh your heads off and it will also teach you of the types of things that you shouldn't really do on the jobs, whether you are in these careers or not.
