Pink Christmas

This might seem strange for me, as being an eighteen-year-old man, but every year now since 2010, I have always wanted to have a special Christmas called a Pink Christmas. Now a Pink Christmas has nothing to do about snow. Remember, a Christmas with snow is a White Christmas, and a sad Christmas is blue. Pink Christmas is the time of year when I got a baby sister in the year of 2010, even though she was born in October. She is Baby Doll, herself. She loves to call my name every time I come home from school or any other activity. It's like she loves me so much, even though she's boobing sometimes, if she's sick or not. 

I  love the music of Christmas, I wanted to write a music piece with lyrics on it, but it's hard to figure out what kind of notes sound like Christmas and how the lyrics should go, but I'm sure that someday I'll try to get that figured out and might write other music pieces that talk about Christmas. I can't wait for Christmas on the 25, maybe it'll be a Pink Christmas with Baby Doll.

Miracle of Lights

Remember what I told you before from the lights in Temple Square and the lights in Spanish Fork? Well, I love to put up lights on our house during Christmastime. It comes with good ideas to make the holiday special. There are a lot of ideas that I could think of with a huge house like ours. I come up with ideas, and then they become a miracle. This is why I call them "Miracle of Lights." I tried to put up a sign that would be really spectacular for the holiday. I kept trying to figure out ways on how I can get that sign to stay and be seen. Then I put lights on the sign and wrapped wide clear tape on it so it wouldn't get wet from snow. I thought it would be cool to have a sign that would say Miracle of Lights, just because it can really be a miracle to all the neighbors.

Then there were other ideas to make it spectacular. Every year, I tried to figure out a way to put lights up on our Basketball Hoop, but then I couldn't figure out, until then I remember working with my dad making Pine Wood Derby Cars for the Pack Meeting for his Cub Scouts. I used some special clamps that would wrap the lights around the hoop, instead of putting nails inside the solid plastic square of the hoop.

 

Another idea I thought of before I ever came up with the other ideas, was I made this fancy tic-tac-toe board on our office and bedroom windows. Then I put some nice Christmas logos on there as doing Xs and Os. You can see that it looks really cool with windows between and above each other.

 

Then I thought about putting up this Happy Holidays sign on the roof, between my parents bedroom window and the entry-way window. It took me a lot of thought to figure out how to keep the sign stayed onto the walls on the roof. 

Then another ideas came up to me, I thought about how everything in the house would look more like a miracle. I reached a long extension cord to our mailbox and wrapped lights all around it. That is a miracle to make the mailman feel appreciated with the mailbox all decorated.

Then there are other lights that I had put up. There are blow-ups of the Nativity, the big dog, and Snoopy. Then there is the gingerbread house, little train, and rows of candy canes and candles. If you think they look spectacular, then you might as well think that I can come up with good ideas that would be a very nice miracle of lights. As you can see, these are all the lights that I came up with and put up on my own. I didn't even need help on the ground, but I needed some help from my brother-in-law, Gamer on the roof. As a matter of fact, with all these ideas I came up with myself, that really did turn out to be a Miracle of Lights. This is how I can make this holiday really special this year to appreciate all the neighbors of how good it looks.

Temple Square

I love Christmas so much. Never mind that post I thought about for the Christmas Dance. My mom told me that was a bad idea. So I deleted that. So this time, instead of talking about being Under the Mistletoe, I would like to talk about another tradition we love to do. There is another tradition that we love to do every year. We like to go to Temple Square to see their Christmas Lights. It's just like those Festival of Lights in Spanish Fork, but much different. We love seeing Temple Square on Christmastime. It's so beautiful with the Christmas Lights around it.

We went to Temple Square the other night to go see them. My parents, sisters, brothers, and I went there to see them. There was a bag-piper playing church Christmas music. My sisters, brothers and I started to dance like the bag-pipers in kilts. Mom and Dad thought that we were all silly, especially doing a dance like that in Temple Square. Anyway, we walked around Temple Square and we enjoyed seeing all the lights. We love to sing Christmas Church songs. It brings the spirit with us while enjoying the lights. 



We all love to go to Temple Square during Christmastime. It reminds us more about the birth of Jesus. With that, we always remember that Jesus' birth is the important way of how we start to be more grateful of what Christmas is about. I'm still excited for the Christmas Dance on Saturday. I can't wait to have a lot of fun with my date at Bingham High School. I won't be like going Under the Mistletoe like Justin Bieber would.

Festival of Lights

I might have not told you this before. But months ago, I talked about how I love holidays when I said about our own traditions. Well I talked about our traditions the last two holidays, of Halloween and Thanksgiving. Right now, since Christmas is coming up. I'm going to have to talk about one tradition we like to do every year.

We love to see the Festival of Lights. The Festival of Lights is a special place where there is amazing Christmas light displays at a park. It all happens every year in a place called Spanish Fork. We all go inside the park, but just stay in our vehicles to enjoy the lights that are around the park. The best part of it, is you get to listen to Christmas songs on the radio station to go with the explore of the lights.

These are one of the traditions we like to do every year on Christmastime. We have lots of traditions we do, like I'm about to show you later on when we do them. These traditions can be the ones that you might want to try. Oh, and if you want to do what we always do, before seeing the Festival of Lights, if your kids or yourself got good grades in school, you could take them to Krispy Kremes and get a free box of doughnuts.

ACT Tests

I might have not told you this before, but I'm a high school Senior at Bingham, and I'm trying not to flunk it. There are some situations that can be frustrating when you're in high school. Some of them might be like trying to get all As in each class, or try to make to school on time. But there is one thing that is frustrating to me. It's the...ACT tests.

For that, I have to take them this week, otherwise, I would never find a good college to attend to after high school. But I kept thinking to myself, "What's the point of going to college to find a job that's just plain boring?" I thought that writing novels, which I'm writing about Scouts, would be a thing that you won't have to go to college. But my Mom convinces that I do the tests, because she paid $34.00 for me to do them. But I'm not much of a student who likes taking tests like this. CRTs weren't much fun some other times. And now I have to take the ACT this whole week. I could've waited for the next semester to take them, but that would disappoint my Mom, who always trusts me about school.

I took the first ACT yesterday on English. I almost cried during it, because I started the test without being told to do so. I was supposed to take another ACT test today at school on math, but the teacher postponed it to another day, starting tomorrow, because she got sick. I'm just saying, taking ACT tests are not that fun, especially if you have to miss class that is really important. Although, taking the ACT test is a bit mind-circling, I still have to take it, even though I don't want to. I hope that I'll keep doing my best on the last three tests on the ACT this week.

Thanksgiving

You may not know this, but what we did for Thanksgiving this year is the tradition we've always had ever since 2006. We always did a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. That's the type of dinner that goes with toast, popcorn, pretzels, and jelly beans, and pudding in glasses. You can see these pictures of them. We always did that for lunch before the real dinner with turkey and other things.

I will tell you about what our dinner is like after I tell you of how this Charlie Brown Thanksgiving dinner works. We find a volunteer to play the role of Peppermint Patty off of the movie. My sister Prima Donna asked that she could play the role. The role of Peppermint Patty is the part where she freaks out of what kind of Thanksgiving dinner it is. And then learns a lesson of what the true meaning of Thanksgiving it is. We always do that because it's a really fun tradition. And then we watch the movie of it right after the lunch.

And then later on with dinner, we have the delicious turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffings, cranberry sauce, corn, pumpkin and pecan pie, and then the best treat of all that anyone could ever have on Thanksgiving...is 14-layer Jello. My sister Bossy makes that delicious Jello every on Thanksgiving to appreciate thanks to all of us. I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, no matter how your traditions go. Christmas is coming. I'll tell you by the time I'll tell you what our Christmas traditions are later on.

Halloween

I'm not going to talk about a merit badge this time, because I forgot to mention that there are holidays going around here. We have been doing Thanksgiving, I'll tell you about Thanksgiving next time, but first I like to tell you about how our Halloween holiday went.

Every holidays by almost the end of a year, I'm much of a holiday display maker. A person who can decorate lots of wonderful ideas for a holiday. For Halloween, I made a display like this one called a Corn Maze. I just made that so that little kids can come to our house to trick-or-treat by going through the corn maze that can sometimes get you lost. However, some of the kids would rather just skip the corn maze and just head on the driveway and go through the sidewalk to the door.


And another thing that has also happened on Halloween, my sisters Bossy and Prima Donna got into a huge fight about who short-cut the stuff from outside doing yard work, and then I yelled at both of them to stop fighting, which that kind of made things worse. It was me and Bossy that got in a huge fight with text messages. So Mom and Dad told us that we should apologize to Bossy, by sneaking to her house to decorate her apartment yard for the best Halloween Decoration contest going on at her apartment village. Mom took both me and Prima Donna to Bossy's apartment with other Halloween decorations in our arms I carried a bundle of cornstalks, while sneaking to the front door of her apartment. Both Prima Donna and I thought that was fun to sneak some decorations into Bossy's apartment. I thought we can make that a tradition also for Halloween. Instead of saying Trick-or-Treat, I thought this would be called Sneak-or-Treat. This whole Halloween season was a fun holiday, I think I want to do the Sneak-or-treat thing again, next year.
