Scripture Mastery #4: No Tobacco!

Here's the fourth Scripture Mastery of the day. No Tobacco! Some of you may be addicted to tobacco, but here's a scripture mastery that would help you stay safe from them. I used this picture from a movie called The Sandlot as an example. I hope you understand it.

                                                   Doctrine and Covenants 89: 8

"And again, tobacco is not for the body, neither for the belly, and is not good for man, but is an herb for bruises and all sick cattle, to be used with judgment and skill."

To my opinion, I think it's inspiring, because it helps me to have a healthy life by staying away from tobacco and other drugs. I'm not much of a alcohol or drug person, because those items are very cruddy and dangerous to my personality. I hope it helps you all too.

Scripture Mastery 3: Some People are Worth Melting For

Here's one where I thought about Olaf the Snowman from Frozen. I found a good scripture mastery in 2 Nephi 23: 7. I think it's a great example that Olaf had said in the movie. "Some people are worth melting for."

                                                                  2 Nephi 23: 7

"Therefore shall all hands be faint; every man's heart shall melt."

It may not make sense to you at first, but I think it's a good scripture mastery that relates to Olaf, the snowman. "Every man's heart shall melt," is a good inspiration for Olaf's quote. I'm sure that is worth something, like a lifetime. Our hearts will melt with happiness. That's why some people are worth melting for. It's worth melting for happiness and love.

Scripture Mastery 2: Bethany Hamilton having Faith

I thought about this scripture mastery from one movie called Soul Surfer, the true story of Bethany Hamilton. One of my brothers doesn't think Bethany Hamilton is said in the scripture mastery, but I just used her as an example of having faith. If you read the scripture mastery, it'll make sense of what you think of it.

                                                               Ether 12: 6

"And now, I, Moroni, would speak somewhat concerning these things; I would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith."

Scripture Mastery 1: Remember Who You Are

Here's the first scripture mastery that I came up with that I hope it all makes sense to any of you.

                                                       Helaman 5: 12

"And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall."

That scripture mastery reminds me a lot about how we should always remember who we are and that we shouldn't always feel miserable about our troubled pasts and overcome the future, just like Simba did in The Lion King.

Scripture Mastery Plan

I know I haven't been blogging for a while because I've been busy with school and my mission. I was thinking of a missionary plan that I came up in my. I was thinking everyday, I should make a blogpost of scripture mastery pictures. If you're LDS and are interested in seeing them, then that it'll be awesome! Right now I'm just reminding you of what I'm planning to do. Starting tomorrow I'll give you the first scripture mastery. It'll show a picture that may be something that you would've seen before or not. If you read the scripture that I put underneath the picture, and look at it at the same time, it'll make sense of what that has to do with the picture and how the scriptures can make sense. I promise you I'll give you the first scripture mastery tomorrow and you'll read what it says and it'll make sense. Love you all!
